Recapping Anthony Gould’s 2025 season
A fifth-round pick by the Colts in 2024, Gould’s role offensively in Year 2 remained small. He appeared in only six games, playing 58 total snaps, totaling two receptions for six yards. As a slot-first wideout, there aren’t many snaps available with Josh Downs leading the way.
Gould did, however, see more opportunities on special teams in the return game. Gould averaged 25.9 yards per kick return on 25 attempts and averaged 10.1 yards per punt return on 13 attempts, per PFF.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Anthony Gould
Although he’s a recent draft pick, Gould may have to fight for a roster spot this year. His role is likely to remain small on offense, while Downs, Deion Burks, or Ashton Dulin could handle return duties. Laquon Treadwell, who offers more on offense and can impact special teams in a variety of ways, is someone who could push Gould off the roster.
That said, if Gould is able to make the initial 53-man, he again should see the bulk of his touches come in the return game.
