If you’re looking to put together a team that can win championships in the NFL, it’s important to start with a strong offensive line. Perhaps that’s why the Jets are making big offseason moves in the trenches.
It was reported on Monday that the Jets have agreed to terms on a four-year extension for offensive lineman Joe Tippmann. The new deal will be worth $66.4 million, according to the reports.

Tippmann has been with the Jets for three seasons after being selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he made 16 appearances and 14 starts for the Jets and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team for his efforts.
His rookie performance earned him a starting role at the center position in 2024, where he started all 17 games. He would then move on to start at right guard in 2025, where he would once again start every contest.
With the Jets having both their starting offensive tackles, each a first-round pick, still on their rookie contracts, locking down Tippmann helps secure the franchise’s offensive line future. Tippmann, who was approaching the final season on his rookie contract, will now be in place for the Jets through the 2030 season.
