The case of alleged underworld kingpin Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala and four co-accused has been postponed to Wednesday in the High Court in Johannesburg.
Matlala is accused of orchestrating the failed attempt to kill his former girlfriend, Tebogo Thobejane, businessman Joe Sibanyoni, and music producer Seunkie Mokubung, popularly known as DJ Vettys.
Their case was rolled over to Wednesday after the court heard that the state had submitted all the outstanding documents that were requested by the defence.
This resulted in Matlala’s legal team not submitting its application to compel the state to submit the outstanding documents that they were demanding during the previous appearance.
On Wednesday, it’s expected that the case will be finalised before going ahead to trial on July 20.
