Penfield has a chance to make local lacrosse history. With another win, the Patriots would become only the second Section V girls lacrosse team to win consecutive state titles.
To do so, Penfield must overcome Section XI’s Huntington. The Blue Devils are relative newcomers to the state final, as a program that hasn’t reached the final game since 1995 and has never won a title.
Penfield reached the final thanks to a one-sided win over Shaker, while Huntington slipped past Suffern.
