On Tuesday, June 9, the Baywatch star shared more about the viral moment in which Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes pulled up to a Little League practice.
“Remembering your MLB bf is just a boy bc wdym he saw a little league team practicing while driving home and pulled over to show me and play catch with them,” Dunne, 23, wrote in an TikTok post about the surprise interaction.
Skenes, 24, was on his day off, feeling “bored” and had time on his hands when he was driving home on Monday, June 8 — and saw the lights still on at a Little League field in Wexford, Pa.
The National League Cy Young winner casually strolled up to the field and began to watch practice, according to MLB.com.
Soon, a few kids caught on and then the baseball phenom was swarmed.
“We didn’t believe it at first,” Anthony Greco, 10, told USA Today, “but then we went over there and we saw him.”
For more than two hours — and with the Los Angeles Dodgers on deck the following day — Skenes signed autographs and posed for pictures with the Franklin Park Little Leaguers.
“Seeing the smiles on the boys’ faces was just unbelievable,” Eddie Dubis, an Ingomar coach and member of the board of directors who was in attendance, told MLB.com. “They were totally starstruck, in awe of what happened.”
For Skenes, the moment was sparked by an impromptu decision to pull off the road and reconnect with his own youth.
“I’m not very good at being incognito,” Skenes joked after the boys realized he was in their presence. “Should have worn some sunglasses and a fake mustache.”
The next night, the pitching ace held the Dodgers to two runs in six innings (and threw 90-plus pitches) before he left the game with the score tied 2-2.

The Pirates eventually lost, 12-3, but Skenes’ experience the day earlier was not lost on him.
“There’s a lot of things that make [baseball] a business and it’s work, it’s a job for us for sure, but on some days more than others, you got to remember you love the game and why you started playing it in the first place,” he said. “So, it was good for me to go and visit them.”
