The state prosecution in the trial of alleged crime boss, Nafiz Modack has told the High Court in Cape Town that he, together with one of his co-accused Ziyaad Poole co-ordinated the failed assassination hit on Cape Town well-known criminal lawyer William Booth, in April 2020.
The court has also heard that in the days leading up to the shooting and on the day of the shooting of Booth, the lawyer was pinged multiple times by Modack’s co-accused Zane Killian.
Modack, along with 13 others are on trial facing more than 100 charges including money laundering, racketeering, extortion and the 2020 failed assassination attempt on Booth.
