FSU softball has always recruited at an elite level under head coach Lonni Alameda, and two members of their 2027 recruiting class have received national recognition. Infielder Bayleigh Taylor and pitcher Addison DeRoche have been named All-Americans by Premier Girls Fastpitch, the organization announced.
DeRoche is a five-star prospect from Westbrook, Maine, and is the highest-rated player in FSU’s recruiting class. Softball America ranks her as the No. 6 overall player in the country and the No. 4 pitcher.
She has had a phenomenal career at Cheverus High School and is poised for an excellent senior year before she makes it to Tallahassee. In 30 career appearances, she has a 0.59 ERA in 226 innings with 536 strikeouts and just 44 walks. She has held opponents to a .072 batting average and has allowed just 25 earned runs.
Taylor is from Liberty, Texas, and is a four-star prospect. Softball America ranks her as the No. 28 overall player in the country and the No. 5 middle infielder. She helped lead Liberty High School to a 4A D2 Texas state championship, excelling at the plate and as a pitcher.
Thank you @PGFnetwork!! It’s such an honor to represent the class of 2027! Can’t wait! Congrats to all my teammates who made it! @TaeganLermann@JaydePalmer23@StevieSouth34@MilanTorres2026@addithompson26@DBurnett21@AnnistonShelton@hotshotsnationpic.twitter.com/HBnW2kwvEU
