Over this past weekend, the Illinois State Government couldn’t approve a new stadium for the Chicago Bears in Arlington Heights, Illinois. It also appeared as if getting a new stadium in downtown Chicago, Illinois was also not an option for the future. They currently play at Solider Field, but the years of playing in Chicago, Illinois are dwindling down.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Friday afternoon on Twitter reported the latest saga in where the Bears are going to be having a new stadium at. Schefter revealed stunning news about this and said,
“The Bears’ Board of Directors voted Thursday to advance the stadium development in Hammond, Indiana, with the exact to be selected. This is this first time that the Bears’ board has voted on any stadium site. As one source said, “There is more work to do but barring anything very strange, it’s a done deal.””
The fact that the Bears are deciding to go do business in the state of Indiana means that Chicago’s franchise has had enough of dealing with politicians in the state of Illinois. The Bears would rather do business in Indiana, which is more friendly for business. After all, Illinois is a blue state, and Indiana is a red state.
Chicago Bears Fans Explode Over the Fact the Bears are Moving to Hammond Indiana in the Future
There are a lot of Chicago fans who are absolutely furious that this franchise is moving to the state of Indiana. Many fans understand that this is the fault of Democratic politicians in the state of Illinois altogether. This is what some Bears fans had to say on Twitter about getting basically a new stadium site in Hammond, Indiana:

There are a lot of Bears fans who are never going to forgive Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and the states legislatures for this. A lot of Chicago fans are upset that the team is leaving the state of Illinois to Indiana. With that being said, Hammond, Indiana is closer to Chicago, Illinois than if the team were to move to Arlington Heights, Illinois. However, this latest move for the Bears organization goes to show how incompetent things are the state level of politics in the state of Illinois.
