Former Clemsonbaseball first baseman and designated hitter Collin Priest has found a new home.
According to Baseball America’s Carlos Collazo, Priest is transferring to UCF after entering the transfer portal earlier this week. The move gives the Knights an experienced bat with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Priest did not appear during the 2026 season after suffering a hamstring injury, but he was a key contributor for Clemson in 2025 after arriving from Michigan. He earned third-team All-ACC honors while starting 57 of the Tigers’ 59 games, finishing the year with a .240 batting average, 12 home runs, 11 doubles and 52 RBIs. The left-handed hitter also posted an .887 OPS and showed strong plate discipline, drawing 47 walks.
Before his lone season at Clemson, Priest put together an impressive freshman campaign at Michigan. He hit .279 with 11 home runs, 11 doubles, 30 RBIs and a .578 slugging percentage in 56 games, earning All-Big Ten Freshman Team recognition.
