The New York Giants selected Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa with the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
Mauigoa enters his rookie season in New York with high expectations. The former Miami standout was regarded as one of the top offensive linemen available in this year’s draft and is expected to start every game during his first year.
Mauigoa will play a critical role in the success of star quarterback Jaxon Dart this season, as he looks to build on his performance in his second year with significantly improved protection. The two have reportedly grown closer since the draft, with Mauigoa recently poking fun at Miami’s win over Ole Miss in the Fiesta Bowl by gifting Dart a Hurricanes jersey.

Dart was a standout throughout his three seasons at Ole Miss from 2022 to 2024. Mauigoa played three seasons at Miami from 2023 to 2025 and performed exceptionally well against the Rebels in the January Fiesta Bowl.
Both players are poised for strong seasons in 2026, and their positive relationship should serve them well heading into training camp.
