Marvin Ducksch (32) scored 10 goals and provided two assists across 33 games in the Championship for Birmingham City in 2025/26, but the German’s goalscoring exploits were unable to secure a Premier League return for the West Midlands club, which could see Ducksch return to Germany, where he scored 105 goals in 268 appearances in Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga.
Sky Germany report that Ducksch holds a contract with Birmingham City until 2028, but it includes a non-promotion release clause, reportedly set at €1m, which has become active. As a result, Augsburg, among other unnamed clubs, are showing interest in signing Ducksch, who moved to England for €2m last summer.
Augsburg scored 45 goals in 34 Bundesliga games in 2025/26 with Michael Gregoritsch, Anton Kade and Fabian Rieder each contributing six, as the club’s leading scorers in the Bundesliga.
