Despite a third-place finish on the Betway Premiership log, Kaizer Chiefs have decided not to re-employ co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze.
Their contracts expired at the end of the season.
The pair could feel a little aggrieved, though. They guided Amakhosi to their best finish on the log in six years and qualified the club for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup tournament.
However, the 1-nil loss to struggling Chippa United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on the last day of the season, summed up Chiefs’ inconsistent season.
It also underlined just how far they are behind league champions Orlando Pirates and CAF Champions League winners, Mamelodi Sundowns.
