Clemson brought in more conference revenue than any other ACC program, according to the league’s latest financial distribution report.
The ACC reported $826.5 million in total revenue for the fiscal year, its first since adding Cal, Stanford and SMU. That total ranked third among the Power 4 conferences behind the Big Ten and SEC.
Clemson led the ACC with $55.1 million distributed from the conference, boosted in part by its College Football Playoff appearance during the cycle. Duke was next at $48.2 million. Most returning ACC schools received between $43 million and $46 million, while newer members like Cal, Stanford and SMU received partial shares. Notre Dame also received a partial distribution as a league member in football and other sports.
This was also the first year the ACC used its success initiative model, which rewards programs for postseason performance and helped create a wider gap in payouts across the conference.
Among the Power 4, the Big Ten again led the way with $1.47 billion in total revenue. The SEC followed at $1.11 billion, while the Big 12 reported $610.9 million.
