Here are seven players to watch in Super Bowl LX when the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots on Sunday.
These aren’t just the best players, but the ones that have a chance at deciding the game, and with it, the fate of the entire 2025-26 NFL Season.
Rashid Shaheed and Marcus Jones on either side present lightning in a bottle as the kick returners. In a game projected to heavily favor defense, one big special teams play could make the difference. These two don’t touch the ball much unless there’s a big play, so be ready every time Seattle’s blue and green number 22 and New England’s white and silver number 25 get it in their hands.
With two stout defensive lines working against the offenses, the game also won’t have too many runs, but should be much heavier on the passing. The quarterback duel of Sam Darnold and Drake Maye is the matchup everyone’s been talking about most, but don’t sleep on the wideouts to make big catches. For the Patriots, Kayshon Boutte is a worry for Seahawks outside cornerbacks Tariq Woolen and Josh Jobe, as he comes down with circus catches despite tight coverage on the regular. Stefon Diggs is past his prime but is still good for a few big catches per game too. For the Seahawks, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba demands attention from Christian Gonzalez or Carlton Davis III plus a help safety, Cooper Kupp has a huge opportunity to have big moments. Shaheed and even Jake Bobo will also have big one-on-one chances.
