After a dominant performance against Georgia on Saturday, Texas A&M’s Rashaun Agee was rewarded by being named the SEC’s Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.
Agee paced the Maroon & White with 18 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists in the road victory over the Bulldogs. He shot 50-percent (5-of-10) from the field and was 6-o-f-6 from the free-throw line. The Chicago native registered his 10th double-double of the season and 30th of his career. The seven assists are a career-high and his 15 rebounds are his most in an SEC game. To put that game in perspective:
In league play, Agee is averaging 15.6 points and 10.3 rebounds. His 9.0 average on the boards this season is good for second among SEC players, while his 6.3 defensive rebounds per game are second the SEC and rank among the top-25 nationally.
Agee and the Aggies return to action Wednesday with a 6 p.m. contest in Tuscaloosa against the Alabama Crimson Tide on SEC Network.
