Oregon Duck fans have seen this movie before. They were just hoping not to have to see it again.
After watching the 2024 season come to an end with an embarrassing blowout to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl a year ago, Oregon fans hoped that this year would feature a different ending. Instead, the Peach Bowl against the Indiana Hoosiers ended up being a remake, just in a different location.
The final score read 56-22, an utterly dominant blowout for the Hoosiers that, quite literally, was over before it started, with Dante Moore throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown on the opening play of the game.
Things didn’t get better from there, as Indiana continued to pour it on, going up 35-7 at the half, and cruising to their date with the Miami Hurricanes in the national championship from there.
For Oregon fans on social media, it was a cruel experience, and one that felt all too familiar for many. As you would expect, they voiced their frustration throughout the game. Here’s a look at what Duck fans said throughout.

Good Tweet, Rodger
for millions of years, Ducks have trusted Ponds … but tonight they have been betrayed https://t.co/cOkHReCzH3

A Nice Answer on Offense
Take away that first play of the game, obviously, and the Ducks’ offense looks very solid.
58 yards on 12 plays. 5 first downs. Jay Harris is getting the job done.

Indiana Travels
I was not aware until recently that Indiana has the largest living alumni base in the country (805,000).
But a bunch of football stadiums are now finding that out.

Only 2 Touchdowns?
Overheard an Indiana fan say today that he thought the Hoosiers would win by two touchdowns.
That may have been conservative.

This is Getting Old
I am sick of this shit happening year after year. Hitting the worst possible opponent and having the worst possible performance at the worst possible time

They Can’t Get You if You Got No Hope
It’s really funny people still think they can hurt Oregon fans. There’s literally no heartbreak we haven’t experienced. You’re just part of the scenery at this point.

What Else is On?
Right now you can also catch Jumanji on FX, the start of Hunger Games on AMC, the end of Clueless on Bravo, and The Social Network on VH1, which is apparently still in business?

Oh, Is That All?
Alright, Oregon just needs a stop and a score and a stop and a score and a stop and a score and a stop and a score
