ESPN simulated the remainder of the 2025 season for the Jacksonville Jaguars using its Football Power Index (FPI) tool.
So how did things turn out for the Jaguars?
What the FPI model does is run thousands of simulations. For this exercise, Seth Walder selected just one of those simulations.
In reality, the Jaguars will enter Week 16 at 10-4 on the season. Along with winning five in a row, the Jaguars have a one-game lead over Houston (9-5) in the AFC South and are the three seed in the conference.
In Week 16, on the road against Denver, the FPI model has the Jaguars losing to the Broncos by a score of 23-21.
This would put them at 10-5.
The following week, against Indianapolis, the Jaguars again lose in this simulation. This time 30-20.
Jacksonville is now 10-6 in this scenario.
Then in Week 18, at home against the Titans, the Jaguars win 45-30, to finish the year 11-6.
The Jaguars ended up as the sixth seed in the AFC playoff picture. Houston, who was also 11-6, won the division based on tie-breakers.
In the playoffs, the Jaguars defeated the Texans in the wildcard round, but then lost in the divisional round to the Denver Broncos.
From four wins in 2024 to 11 wins and a playoff win would be quite the turnaround in Liam Coen’s first season as head coach.
