The Pittsburgh Steelers ruled three starters out ahead of the Week 16 matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Following the release of Friday’s injury report, Steelers OLB T.J. Watt (lung), G Isaac Seumalo (triceps), and CB James Pierre (calf) were ruled out for Sunday’s contest against Detroit.
Pierre and Watt also missed last week’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins with their respective injuries, while Seumalo injured his triceps in-game and was ruled out, being replaced by OL Spencer Anderson.
It’s expected that Asante Samuel Jr. will start in place of Pierre, OLB Jack Sawyer in place of Watt — as well as potentially Nick Herbig — and Anderson in place of Seumalo.
Hopefully, all three starters could return for Week 17’s matchup versus the Cleveland Browns, with one insider revealing Watt is expected to be available for the exciting AFC North matchup.
