As if the Los Angeles Rams’ loss to the Seattle Seahawks wasn’t bad enough, they may have also lost one of their best players in the process. Kevin Dotson suffered an ankle injury in the first half and was unable to return, being replaced by Justin Dedich at right guard.
After the 38-37 loss, Dotson was seen on crutches and in a walking boot, which is obviously a bad sign for his status moving forward. Sean McVay didn’t provide an update on him after the game but the fact that he couldn’t walk under his own power is concerning.
After the injury occurred, Dotson struggled to put any pressure on his left leg, getting a lot of assistance from the training staff before being carted to the locker room.

Dotson has been arguably the Rams’ best offensive lineman this season, playing at an All-Pro level in 2025. He’s a stud in pass protection at right guard, but the job he does in the run game is even more impressive and impactful.
He’ll be a tough player for the Rams to replace if he does have to miss time, though he will have some extra time to rest and recover before their next game on Dec. 29 against the Falcons.
