By winning this past Sunday, the Jaguars maintain a one-game lead in the AFC South race over the 9-5 Houston Texans. Jacksonville is now up two games on the 8-6 Indianapolis Colts.
In the overall AFC playoff picture, the Jaguars remain the three seed. They trail the two-seeded 11-3 New England Patriots by just one game.
The Denver Broncos are at the top of the conference with a record of 12-2 and are the Jaguars’ opponent this week — giving Jacksonville the opportunity to make up some ground.
