A valiant fourth-quarter effort got the Bearcats within striking distance on Monday, but W.F. West fell to Mark Morris 63-55.
The Bearcats fell behind double-digits early, giving up 22 points in the first quarter and 19 in the second to enter the locker room down 24.
The offense got going in the second half, where they scored 15 in the third and 23 in the fourth, and while it was enough to get them back into the game, it wasn’t enough to bridge the gap entirely.
Wyatt Hoffman finished with 16 points, including eight in the third, while Cody Schwarz added nine and Gage Grisham finished with eight.
W.F. West will wrap up its 2025 slate in Montesano on Thursday. After that, the Bearcats are off until a home matchup against Cedarcrest on Jan. 3.
