Not long after the Los Angeles Rams’ win over the Detroit Lions, Sean McVay had even more to celebrate. The coach announced during his media session on Tuesday that his second son was born at 6 am on Monday.
McVay went straight to the hospital after the Rams’ win over the Lions so he could be there for the birth of his son, Christian Alexander. He said both his son and wife are healthy, calling it a “crazy week to be playing on Thursday.”

McVay’s first son, Jordan, was born during the 2023 season, so this is the second time he’s had a baby during the madness of a season.
The turnaround from Sunday to a Thursday night game is quick enough as a head coach, never mind with a newborn baby, so McVay sure has his hands full preparing for the Seattle Seahawks this week.
The Rams face the 11-3 Seahawks at 8:15 p.m. ET in Seattle on Thursday night, with the winner taking over sole possession of first place in the NFC West.
