Hong Kong schools to get HK$500,000 each under HK$500 million AI education plan

Hong Kong education authorities will offer HK$500,000 (US$64,246) to each public primary and secondary school that applies for funding to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) in classrooms over the next three years, with about HK$500 million allocated for the initiative.
Schools receiving the funding can subscribe to AI-powered software and hardware, but must implement AI-assisted teaching in at least three subjects while developing six teaching examples or resources with the technology.
