Early Monday morning, the Pittsburgh Steelers made a surprise addition to the injury report ahead of their Monday Night Football showdown with the Miami Dolphins. According to ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter, starting running back Jaylen Warren is now listed at questionable with an illness.
If Warren can’t go, it will be a heavy dose of backup Kenneth Gainwell for the Steelers. Gainwell and Warren have been splitting reps much of the season, with Gainwell being a dangerous receiver out of the backfield and Warren being the primary rusher. Warren has 652 rushing yards compared to just 371 rushing yards for Gainwell. However, Gainwell has 50 receptions to Warren’s 30, although Warren has only nine fewer receiving yards on the season, 286 to 277.
