A former Michigan State linebacker was elevated to the Denver Broncos’ active roster on Saturday.
Former Spartans linebacker Jordan Turner was elevated to the Broncos’ active 53-man roster on Saturday ahead of Denver’s game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Turner didn’t record any stats in the game against the Packers, but the Broncos did earn the victory over the Packers.
Per the Broncos’ team site, Turner has now been elevated in three of Denver’s last six games, recording three tackles and playing 59 percent of the Broncos’ special teams snaps. For Turner to play again this season, he needed to be promoted to the 53-man roster.
Turner is in his first season in the NFL after wrapping up his college career at Michigan State last year. He played one season for Michigan State after starting his career at Wisconsin. In his lone season at Michigan State, Turner recorded 66 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and two interceptions.
We’ve made a series of roster moves ahead of #GBvsDEN.
