Dec. 11—JAMESTOWN, N.D. — Jamestown and the Bemidji State men’s basketball team needed three overtimes to decide a winner on Thursday night.
The Beavers came up on the wrong end in the third extra session, falling to the Jimmies 98-94. Jamestown outscored BSU 8-4 in the third overtime. Bemidji State took a 38-30 lead into halftime, but was outscored 43-35 in the second half.
John Pecaric led all scorers, pouring in 36 points on 12 of 25 shooting for the Beavers (4-5, 1-3 NSIC). Eddie Jallow Hedquist sank a team-high five 3-pointers and scored 26 points. Dominic Fairbanks had 11 to round out BSU’s double-digit scorers.
Austin Josephson had a team-high 13 rebounds, while Henry Shannon III had 12. Jamestown (4-6, 2-2 NSIC) had five players in double digits, with Owen Hektner leading the way (26 points).
