Sherrone Moore has been married to his wife, Kelli Moore, for nearly a decade.
The former University of Michigan Wolverines head football coach married Kelli in July 2015, going on to welcome three children together. In the years since, Kelli has frequently supported her husband’s career, including when he was named head coach of Michigan’s team ahead of the 2025 season.
More recently, though, Moore made headlines in December 2025 when he was fired after an investigation found “credible” evidence that he allegedly engaged in an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member. Just hours later, the former coach was detained by police on Dec. 10 after officers responded to an “alleged assault.”
Sherrone remains in custody, but as of Dec. 11, no arraignment or decision on charges have occurred, per The New York Times.

She is a former college athlete

While Sherrone has been part of the college football world for several years, he isn’t the only one involved in collegiate athletics.
Kelli is a former soccer goalie for Centre College in Kentucky, per the team’s official Instagram. As shared on her LinkedIn, she graduated from the school in 2012, receiving her bachelor’s degree in financial economics and mathematics.
She is a certified physician assistant

After graduating from Centre College, Kelli went on to get her master’s degree at Central Michigan University to become a physician assistant, per her LinkedIn.
She then worked as a certified physician assistant at Spine Specialists of Michigan before transitioning to the same role at Concentra in June 2023.
Kelli also appears to be involved in philanthropy, as she served as honorary co-chair for the 2024 Michigan Softball Academy, which worked to raise $2 million, per the team’s post on X. According to ClickonDetroit, the annual event works to raise money for the American Cancer Society, as well as fund breast cancer treatments and research in Ann Arbor, Mich., and throughout Southeast Michigan.

Sherrone and Kelli haven’t shared how they met, though the former football coach proposed to his wife in December 2014, as he shared on Instagram three years later.
They got married in July 2015, per Sherrone’s Instagram post for their three-year anniversary in July 2018.

Sherrone and Kelli welcomed three children together: Shiloh, Solei and Sadie, per USA Today.
Their children attended some Michigan football games, watching from the sidelines with Kelli. However, Kelli previously said that their daughters “don’t care about the outcome of the games,” as they just want to spend time with their dad when he gets home, per The Broyles Award.

While Sherrone’s career has thrust him into the spotlight, Kelli leads a more private life, with no public social media accounts.
Despite her more private life, she has frequently supported her husband’s career, even before he was working for the University of Michigan, as shown on Sherrone’s Instagram.
Once he began working for the Wolverines, she attended several football games in yellow and blue. Per Centre College’s Instagram post, she joined Sherrone on the field to celebrate Michigan’s victory in the January 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship.
