Nebraska football is in the mix for class of 2027 safety Kennedy Green. The four-star prospect has Nebraska in his list of top six schools.
Green is the 16th overall safety in the 2027 class, and the 23rd overall player in his class from the state of Georgia per the Rivals Industry Rankings. He most recently visited Nebraska on November 1, and his last visit was to South Carolina on November 29.
Florida State, Miami, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee are the other schools in the mix for Green. He recorded 56 tackles, two interceptions, and a pass deflection this season in 12 games played, according to statistics from Maxpreps.com
The addition of Green would strengthen what is already a talented 2027 class. The class ranks fifth in the country according to Rivals’ industry rankings.
Another interesting tidbit here is that he is being recruited by defensive backs coach Addison Williams. Coach Matt Rhule gave a status update on Williams last week during Early Signing Day. Retaining Williams on the coaching staff would be important in following through with this recruitment and potentially land a commitment.
Green is a physical playmaker, and he would be another big-time get for a Huskers program that needs an infusion of playmakers for the 2027 class.
