Things are moving fast with the news that broke on Wednesday about Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore being fired by the University for cause on Wednesday. Shortly after, multiple reports now confirm that Moore has been detained by police for an unknown investigation.
We know that Moore was fired from Michigan because an investigation led to evidence that he had an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, but that’s all we really know right now. According to ESPN’s Dan Wetzel and Pete Thamel, Moore was detained by police in Saline, Michigan, a town just outside Ann Arbor, on Wednesday, who then turned him over to the Pittsfield Township Police Department for investigation into potential charges.
Police did tell the Detroit News that there was “an incident Wednesday that required police attention.” According to public online records, Moore was booked into jail at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Washtenaw County, Michigan.
