The Las Vegas Raidersdesignated injured left tackle Kolton Miller to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, triggering his 21-day window to be activated. Miller practiced on Wednesday for the first time since being placed on IR way back in Week 14. His willingness to return in a wasted 2-11 season truly highlights his commitment to the organization.
Miller suffered a high-ankle sprain and a hairline fracture in a 25-24 defeat to the Chicago Bears in Week 4. The initial timeline was roughly eight weeks given the severity of the injury. Miller appears to be right on schedule for the shortest possible timeline to return to action.

Miller has been replaced in the lineup by Pete Carroll disciple Stone Forsythe. Unsurprisingly, Forsythe has endured an inconsistent campaign. As expected, he’s been a big-time downgrade from Miller.
The Raiders have fielded one of the worst offensive lines in the league this season. Additional injuries and inconsistencies across the interior has led to various players entering and exiting the lineup. The Raiders have multiple problems up front, but having a difference maker like Miller available at left tackle would undeniably improve the state of affairs.
The Raiders signed Miller to a three-year, $66 million extension with $42.5 million guaranteed in July. Offensive tackles are rarely considered face-of-the-franchise players, but Miller is close to being that for the rebuilding Raiders. There’s no questioning his toughness or commitment to the only organization he’s ever played for.
