FC Dallas and the City of Frisco have announced their 39-day soccer festival coming to downtown Frisco next summer.
The FC Dallas Soccer Celebration will transform Simpson Plaza into a massive fan zone during the 2026 World Cup.
The multi-week event is Frisco’s bid to capitalize on North Texas’ hosting of World Cup matches. Local officials hope the festival atmosphere will draw tourists and unite residents around the world’s most popular sport.
Simpson Plaza, located in front of Frisco City Hall, will feature watch-party pods and giant viewing screens. The venue will host live music, interactive games, and local food vendors throughout the celebration.
Organizers plan to broadcast matches during MLS’s World Cup hiatus. The festival will activate on every matchday, creating what officials describe as a festival-style atmosphere.
“As excitement continues to grow for next summer, Simpson Plaza will be a place where our community can gather, connect, and celebrate together,” said Mayor Jeff Cheney. “It will truly become Frisco’s premier soccer experience in our city this summer.”
FC Dallas leadership emphasized the community-building aspect of the event. The club sees the celebration as a chance to showcase North Texas soccer culture.
“FC Dallas is thrilled to work with the City of Frisco to bring this Soccer Celebration to life for our local community,” said Megan Miller, FC Dallas Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. “This celebration will showcase the passion for soccer that defines our city and provides fans of all ages a space to unite and enjoy this once-in-a-generation opportunity.”
Details about specific programming, entertainment lineups, and operating hours remain forthcoming. Officials promise to release full schedules in the coming months.
