BALTIMORE, Maryland, Dec. 10 — The No. 24 Corner Canyon [Draper, UT] Chargers and the No. 4/SN No. 4 St. Frances Academy [Baltimore, MD] Panthers both accepted the challenge.
And, now, game day is finally here.
The two highly-ranked squads will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Overtime Nationals championship game to determine at least one share of the high school football national championship.
Corner Canyon already has one championship to its name in 2025. The Chargers were crowned Utah’s Class 6A champions back on November 20 after defeating the Lone Peak [Highland, UT] Knights, 35-20, in the championship game. They also have a high-level win against the West Broward [Pembroke Pines, FL] Bobcats (38-13) back on August 22.
St. Frances Academy doesn’t participate in Maryland’s state level championships. Instead, the Panthers play a national schedule with marquee wins against the No. 21 Chaminade-Madonna [Hollywood, FL] Lions (42-14) and St. Joseph’s Prep [Philadelphia, PA] Hawks (34-26).
