Former Duke Blue Devil Isaiah Evans was prohibited from suiting up in Minnesota’s first 2026 NBA Summer League game in Las Vegas due to a pending trade.
Considering the No. 33 selection in the 2026 NBA Draft, which wound up being Evans, was sent from the Brooklyn Nets to the Timberwolves in a trade involving Julius Randle, Evans is kept from suiting up with his new team until that trade is finalized. According to Yossi Gozlan, the trade cannot officially be finalized until July 9, but the deal could potentially take more time than that.
If all goes according to plan, Evans should be available to make his Timberwolves debut Saturday, July 11. In his absence today, Minnesota defeated New Orleans 105-92.
