A blockbuster day is underway at SW19 as Wimbledon moves into day nine, with some of the tournament’s biggest names taking to the courts. The excitement around the All England Club is still palpable following Monday’s dramatic action, which saw Britain’s Arthur Fery produce one of the biggest upsets of the Championships by defeating Grigor Dimitrov in a five-set thriller.
Competing on Centre Court in front of his childhood idol, Roger Federer, the 23-year-old wildcard became the first player ranked outside the ATP Top 100 to reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals since Nick Kyrgios in 2014.
Tuesday’s schedule promises plenty more drama. Centre Court will host an all-American showdown between Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff before Novak Djokovic faces Felix Auger-Aliassime in one of the day’s most eagerly awaited matches. Over on Court 1, world number one Jannik Sinner takes on Jan-Lennard Struff, while Naomi Osaka meets Karolina Muchova in another standout tie.
