Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark continues to face disrespect in the WNBA.
Caitlin Clark is one of the most polarizing players to ever step on the hardwood in WNBA history. Despite that, Clark seems to face a new form of disrespect every now and then.
If being targeted by brutal fouls wasn’t enough, a new controversy has stemmed from the Indiana Fever superstar’s ranking among the top WNBA stars ahead of the 2026 All-Star Game.
Christine Brennan is stunned by what WNBA players think of Caitlin Clark
In the new WNBA All-Star game ballot returns, Clark is ranked third overall, below Paige Bueckers and Olivia Miles. A key reason behind it is that Clark was voted the 11th-best guard in the league by her WNBA peers.
Upon seeing that, Christine Brennan, author of ‘On Her Game: Caitlin Clark and the Revolution in Women’s Sports,’ expressed her surprise over the disrespect that the Fever star faces.
“Caitlin Clark is 2nd in the WNBA in assists per game and T-4th in points per game. A year ago, her fellow players ranked her as the 9th best guard in the league,” Brennan wrote on X.
She added, “This year, they dropped her to 11th. This really is one of the most interesting stories I’ve ever covered.”
No offense to Bueckers and Miles, they are solid players, but in no way have they surpassed Clark by such a huge margin in the WNBA.
