In an effort to get people into Ellis Park for the Springboks’ opening test match of the inaugural Nations Championship against England on Saturday, the South African Rugby Union has announced a reduction in ticket prices.
Prices ranged between R950 and R3000 for standard seating and by this afternoon, more than 30,000 tickets were still available.
However, a large number of tickets are now available at R650, while even prime seating has been reduced to R950.
SARU is hoping the reduced prices will bring them closer to having the 62 000 seater at 90% capacity.
