Spain receives 20 Palestinian children from Gaza for medical treatment

Spain has received 20 Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip along with their families as part of the sixth medical evacuation mission, where they will receive treatment in Spanish hospitals. Spanish Health Minister Mónica García said in a post on X that the children “leave behind the barbarity to receive the care they need in our hospitals.” She added that they “arrive with fear, but also hope,” describing their arrival as “a source of national pride.” Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that “no human being, and, of course, no child, should have to endure the horror being lived through in Gaza.” He added Spain is currently hosting 100 Palestinians, including the 20 children and their families, for medical treatment.
