Businessman and alleged police informer Tumelo Nku is expected to return to the Madlanga Commission in Pretoria on Monday morning to continue his testimony.
Nku has been implicated in the Aeroton drug bust, which took place in the south of Johannesburg in 2021.
He allegedly informed suspended Gauteng traffic police chief Samuel Mashaba about a drug consignment of more than 700 kilograms of cocaine destined for Johannesburg from Durban.
Nku returns to the witness stand after beginning his testimony last Thursday. He did not continue giving evidence on Friday after requesting time to supplement his affidavit.
The commission has questioned him extensively about why he was carrying more than R60 000 in cash on the day of the Aeroton drug bust.
Although Nku has offered several explanations for having the money, the commission has suggested that it may have been intended for something more sinister.
