Noah Gragson’s future in NASCAR is uncertain. Despite earning a second season with Front Row Motorsports, Gragson has struggled to produce like his teammates, Zane Smith and Todd Gilliland. Plus, Layne Riggs is waiting in the wings. So, where will the driver of the No. 4 car race during the 2027 NASCAR season?
Motorsports Wire is predicting that Gragson will drive for JR Motorsports during the 2027 NASCAR O’Reilly Series season. Riggs seems like a great candidate for a promotion to the Cup Series, so he is a logical fit for the No. 4 car. After a rough journey in the Cup Series, dropping back to the O’Reilly Series would do wonders for Gragson’s career.
There could be a possible fit at Richard Childress Racing, but would the organization put Gragson in the No. 33 Cup car? Austin Hill has run well after replacing the late Kyle Busch. For now, Gragson would love to compete at NASCAR’s top level, but winning races in the O’Reilly Series wouldn’t be a bad option either.
