South Africa, runners-up at the last two editions of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, have qualified for the semi-finals of the 2026 edition in England and Wales. The Proteas who lost their opening match to Australia, remained unbeaten after that.
They beat Bangladesh by four wickets in their final Group 1 encounter at Lord’s in London this afternoon to move into second place in Group 1 ahead of India.
Their spot in the last four was then confirmed when Australia defeated India by six wickets at the same venue.
The Proteas will play England in the second semi-final at the Oval in London on Thursday, while Australia and the West Indies face-off at the same venue two days earlier.
