Tickets are available for central Ohio soccer fans to get a preview of the National Women’s Soccer League when the Kansas City Current take on NY/NJ Gotham FC in the NWSL Challenge Cup on June 26.
The game will feature the league’s two major trophy winners from last season at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, the future home stadium of the NWSL Columbus team. The Current won the NWSL Shield by finishing with the league’s best record in the regular season (21-3-2). Gotham won its second consecutive NWSL Championship by defeating the Washington Spirit 1-0 in the final.
Columbus has seen a wave of NWSL developments since the Challenge Cup game was announced in January, including the April 21 announcement of a Columbus franchise.
Gotham FC’s roster features Cincinnati native Rose Lavelle, a member of the USWNT and the 2025 NWSL Championship Most Valuable Player.
When is the NWSL Challenge Cup 2026?
The Challenge Cup will be 8 p.m. June 26 at the ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, home of the MLS Columbus Crew and the future NWSL franchise in Columbus in 2028.
2026 NWSL Challenge Cup ticket prices
General admission tickets for the NWSL Challenge Cup start at $23.30 on Ticketmaster. Select tickets in team fan sections are available to supporters of Gotham FC and the Kansas City Current at $33.35, but they are only unlockable with a specific promo code.
Columbus Metropolitan Library customers have access to discounted $20.28 tickets, which were available in a link via email to members.
The most expensive tickets on Ticketmaster are $227.05, which are in sections 116-118 behind the team benches.
