North-West businessman, Suliman Carrim is unlikely to appear before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry at the Bridgette Mabandla Justice College in Pretoria on Thursday.
Carrim, who was scheduled to appear at the Commission, may not do so due to ill health. He has been implicated in the controversial SAPS tender awarded to attempted murder accused Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala’s company Medicare24.
Carrim suffered a heart attack in April and has previously cited health concerns. He was implicated during testimony by alleged political fixer Brown Mogotsi in connection with the controversial R360 million SAPS tender awarded to Medicare24.
Earlier in his testimony before the Commission, Carrim revealed that he had advanced R10 million to Matlala for Medicare24. According to Carrim, Matlala only repaid R1.75 million.
