Who is Mississippi’s top quarterback entering the 2026 high school football season? MHSAA and MAIS football fans can decide which high school quarterback is the best in the state. Now it’s your turn to vote.
Fans may vote in the poll BELOW one time per hour per device. The poll closes at noon on Saturday, June 27. The nominees come from the Clarion Ledger’s top quarterback watch list last week.
Vote Mississippi’s top high school football quarterbacks for 2026 MHSAA, MAIS season
Jaden Allen, Brookhaven: Allen helped Brookhaven to an MHSAA 5A title while recording 1,932 passing yards with 865 rushing and 39 total touchdowns. He has an offer from Alcorn State.
Kross Avent, East Webster: The sophomore recorded 1,797 passing yards with 25 total touchdowns on 90 completions, helping East Webster win the MHSAA 2A title. Avent holds an offer from Southern Miss.
Chalmers Berglind, Ocean Springs: Berglind passed for 1,685 yards last season with 17 touchdowns while averaging 153.2 passing yards per game.
Brysen Bivins, Laurel: Bivins, the junior, is in his third season starting for Laurel and helped the Tornadoes to an MHSAA 5A semifinal appearance last season.
Brady Chancelor, Seminary: The sophomore produced 3,419 passing yards on 216 completions with 30 touchdowns, averaging 2.1 touchdowns per game.
Chase Craft, Heidelberg: Craft recorded 2,867 passing yards, 1,025 rushing and 52 total touchdowns, helping Heidelberg to a title game appearance. The junior won the MHSAA Class 2A Mr. Football award and has offers from Jackson State, South Alabama and Arkansas State.
Drew Dean, Tupelo: The transfer from Oxford recorded 1,414 passing yards and 12 touchdowns in 11 games played.
Gavin Ducksworth, Hattiesburg: The junior took over as a starter in Week 4 and produced 2,810 passing yards with 28 total touchdowns.
Luke Essary, Jackson Prep: Essary produced 2,201 passing yards with 19 touchdowns on 132 completions and had three rushing scores.
Titus Feaster, Pearl River Central: Feaster had thrown for 2,120 yards with 19 touchdowns and added 953 yards on the ground with 13 TDs.
Kellen Hall, Oak Grove: Hall, an Old Dominion commit, produced 2,709 passing yards with 180 rushing yards and 36 total touchdowns.
Zane Hill, Regents School of Oxford: Hill recorded 2,712 passing yards with 189 completions, averaging 246.5 passing yards per game and 38 total touchdowns.
Kingston Johnson, Starkville: The Tulane commit had over 3,000 total yards with 25 total touchdowns, adding 2,510 passing and 488 rushing.
Tootie Lindsey, West Jones: Lindsey completed 128 passes last season for 2,405 yds and 26 touchdowns, including 291 rushing yards with five scores.
Keon McNeil, Gautier: The freshman had the most passing yards in the state as a ninth grader with 2,267 and added 19 touchdowns on 174 completions.
Nash Morgan, Warren Central: Morgan, a Mississippi State commit, had 1,452 passing yards and 1,577 rushing, while adding 39 touchdowns, leading Warren Central to an MHSAA 6A championship.
Jordan Ramsey, Biloxi: Ramsey had 16 total touchdowns with 1,400 passing yards and over 400 rushing yards last season.
Sullivan Reed, Lamar School: The junior completed 130 passes for 2,409 yards and 32 total touchdowns, helping Lamar School win the MAIS 4A-Division III title.
Price Renovich, Oxford: Renovich transferred from Memphis University School and appeared in seven games last season. The rising junior holds offers from Syracuse, Liberty and UT Martin.
Sladen Shack, Brandon: Shack, an Illinois commit, gets the start for the third straight year at Brandon and helped the Bulldogs reach the MHSAA 7A semifinals last year.
Tripp Smith, Madison Central: Smith was credited with 1,819 passing yards on 126 completions and 26 total touchdowns during his freshman season.
Smith Stringer, Presbyterian Christian School: The Wake Forest commit tallied 2,783 passing yards with 37 touchdowns and added two Rushing scores.
Jackson Teasley, Copiah Academy: The sophomore produced 92 completions with 1,561 passing yards and added 402 rushing yards with 18 total touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Paris Trivillion, Pass Christian: Trivillion helped Pass Christian to its most wins in school history (11) and added 2,570 yards passing with 1,120 rushing and 49 total touchdowns.
Caiden Wade, Kosciusko: The Southern Miss commit helped Kosciusko to appear in the MHSAA 4A title game and added 2,400 passing yards, with 22 touchdowns and had 12 rushing scores.
