Olympique Lyonnais are stepping up their attempts to sign Burkina Faso international Mohamed Ouédraogo (23), according to a report from Foot Mercato.
Lyon are looking to get their business done early this summer. Whilst there has been an outgoing in the form of Afonso Moreira, Kail Boudache has already joined the club, signing his first professional deal with the club having come through at OGC Nice. Julien Duranville, meanwhile, is expected to sign from Borussia Dortmund, and Mads Bidstrup is expected to complete his move from Red Bull Salzburg.
OL are also looking to Austria for a new left-back, Foot Mercato understands. The Burkina Faso international (nine caps) plays his club football at Austrian Bundesliga side SCR Altach. Last season, he played 35 times for the club in all competitions, scoring four goals and registering three assists.
Ouédraogo’s contract with SCR Altach runs until the end of next season. Lyon are stepping up their attempts to sign the defender and, whilst there are several clubs pushing for his signature, it is the Ligue 1 side who lead the race.
