Parliament’s Impeachment Committee is meeting this Monday afternoon. 31 MPs, appointed to the Section 89 Impeachment Committee, will meet for the first time to elect a chairperson. The MPs will also map out a process to investigate the Phala Phala scandal involving President Cyril Ramaphosa. Last month, the Constitutional Court found that Parliament’s rejection of the Phala Phala Section 89 Report in 2022 was unconstitutional.
