Starmer’s decision to hand the plum job of UK ambassador in Washington to Lord Peter Mandelson, despite knowing Mandelson had maintained a friendship with Jeffrey Epstein well past Epstein’s conviction for soliciting underage prostitution, may simply be too large an error of judgement for the public to accept.
