The Chicago Bears are looking to close out their regular season on a high note and get the upper-hand in the race for the NFC North division when they battle the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night.
After coming up short against Green Bay two weeks ago, with quarterback Caleb Williams throwing a game-ending interception in the closing seconds, Williams bounced back in a big way last week against the Cleveland Browns, leading Chicago to a 31-3 win.
In that win, Williams got off to the fast start that both he and head coach Ben Johnson had been calling for over the last several weeks, and it paid off in a major way. Grabbing the momentum early and never looking back against Cleveland, Williams ended the day with 242 passing yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions, while also throwing one of the most incredible passes of the season throughout the NFL.
As the Bears plan to get their revenge against the Packers, and put together their third winning streak of the 2025 season, here are the top three offensive keys that could carry them to victory:
Another fast start
Jumping out to a quick and early lead did wonders for the Bears and their momentum against the Browns, especially for Caleb Williams. He’ll need to replicate that success on Saturday, as he needs to continue to show that improvement from the last meeting against Green Bay, where he only threw for 32 yards in the first half. Finding the right offensive mix to keep their drives going, the Bears will need to put together the perfect plan to jump out early against the Packers.
Caleb Williams building off his momentum
To see Williams play well in the passing game in frigid cold temperatures at Soldier Field was a very welcoming sign, and with no Micah Parsons on the other side, he should have a chance to have more confidence in the pocket. Putting it all on display last week against Cleveland, Williams showed some of his best work outside of the pocket and scrambling when needing to, and if he can keep his confidence in the passing game, the Bears could have the opportunity to put up plenty of points.
Healthy dose of balanced rushing attack
Coming into their first matchup this season, the Bears were riding high off a 281-yard rushing performance against the Philadelphia Eagles but then ran for less than half of that, 138 yards, against the Packers the following week. There was another healthy balance of the rushing attack against Cleveland last week, although they totaled 142 yards, not much more than they did against Green Bay. D’Andre Swift found the end zone twice in the win over the Browns, and smash-mouth football is always welcomed in December at Soldier Field.
