Rookie Kon Knueppel finished in double figures on Saturday, helping the Charlotte Hornets to their sixth straight win with a 111-106 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
Knueppel produced 13 points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal in the contest at the Spectrum Center. He went 5-of-11 from the field, including 1-of-4 from 3-point range, in 35 minutes as the Hornets sealed their longest win streak since the 2015-16 season.
The fourth overall pick has scored at least 10 points in 30 consecutive games, the longest active streak by a rookie this season. He came up with several crucial plays for the group on both ends of the court to help the Hornets hang on to win.

Knueppel is averaging 18.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 42.7% from 3-point range in 49 appearances with the Hornets. He is currently second in the rookie class in scoring and is one of two first-year players with four 30-point performances.
The 20-year-old on Jan. 18 became the fastest player in franchise history to reach 800 points, doing so in 42 games. He is the fourth-fastest player to cross that threshold since 2020, behind only Zion Williamson, Paolo Banchero and Victor Wembanyama.
Knueppel has emerged as one of the top first-year players after an impressive start with the Hornets. He has played a crucial role for coach Charles Lee and is a key reason the team sits only two games out of the play-in tournament group.
