The number of head coach vacancies was trimmed to seven this weekend. Those positions were filled by the two recently fired established head coach candidates who were available.
The Giants had been reportedly working on a deal to make former Ravens head coach John Harbaugh the coach in New York. Saturday night, the deal was done and the team officially announced Harbaugh as their next head coach.
A short time later, the Falcons landed their guy, officially hiring former Browns two-time coach of the year Kevin Stefanski as their new head coach.
Stefanski had held a virtual interview with the Raiders, but, for whatever reason, opted to drop out of the running for that job last week.
Miami, Baltimore and Tennessee all showed very strong interest in Kevin Stefanski, per sources. He also chose to drop out of the Las Vegas search last week.

Harbaugh was never really considered a serious candidate for the Raiders. They only spoke with him over the phone. They might have interviewed had things gone sour in New York. But the Giants wanted him and that’s where he wanted to be so they got it done.
Those teams still in the market for a head coach now include the Browns, Cardinals, Dolphins, Raiders, Ravens, Steelers, and Titans.
The Raiders in particular have requested 13 other candidates for their head coaching position, held virtual interviews with eight of them. and lined up a couple in-person interviews on Monday.
