Bayern Munich had its first training session and first-teamers Sven Ulreich, Tom Bischof, and Arijon Ibrahimović were all there. Returning loanees João Palhinha, Sacha Boey, and Armindo Sieb were there as well. Oh, and there were more than 35 youth players there, too, per Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
The first training session ahead of the new season took place this afternoon at Säbener Straße. Six first team players were available (Ulreich, Bischof, Ibrahimović, Palhinha, Boey and Armindo Sieb). In addition, more than 35 (!) youth players from the U23s and U19s participated in the session – including the likes of Maycon Cardozo (17), Wisdom Mike (17), Guido Della Rovere (19), Felipe Chávez (19), and Filip Pavic (16). U19 coach Leonhard Haas and Bayern II coach Dante were also there. It was a sort of ‘talent scouting event.’
Bild also had a review of Palhinha’s performance and an update on the absent Bryan Zaragoza (via @iMiaSanMia_GER):
João Palhinha was engaged in today’s training, didn’t slack off, even though he has no future with Kompany. Palhinha is to leave FC Bayern. Bryan Zaragoza was not on the pitch, having been plagued by a knee inflammation in recent weeks.
Some of the club bigwigs were in attendance and watching (Bild via @iMiaSanMia_GER):
Almost all of FC Bayern’s sporting directors were watching today’s training session: Max Eberl, Christoph Freund, Eberl’s assistant Bastian Wernscheid, campus manager Michael Wiesinger, as well as Bernhard Seonbuchner, the new head of transition with game and coach development at the campus.
Below is a brief video and a picture from the training as well:
